Michael Kucza, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Kucza joined Ellman International as the Chief Financial Officer in 2010. Prior to this he became a partner in a privately held distribution business in 2006. From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Kucza was the CFO of InfoHighway Communications, a GTCR owned portfolio company. From 1997 to 2002 Mr. Kucza was the controller and eventually CFO of a Swedish owned venture capital management company focused on developing businesses in the United States with the goal of expanding operations overseas. Mr. Kucza’s career began at Deloitte & Touche LLP as both an auditor and consultant. He was first introduced to private equity as the audit manager for the firm’s largest customer, Kohlberg, Kravits, Roberts & Co. Mr. Kucza received his undergraduate degree from the Wharton School of Business in 1990 and he received his MBA from Columbia University in 2000.
Kirsten Doerfert, Senior Vice President Global Marketing
Ms. Doerfert joined Ellman International as the Senior Vice President Global Marketing in 2011. She has close to 30 years of experience in worldwide medical device sales and marketing leadership, primarily focused in major surgical markets with energy based devices. Prior to Ellman, Ms. Doerfert was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at BioDrain Medical. From 2007 to 2008 and from 1999 to 2004, Ms. Doerfert served as a senior executive at Urologix, Inc. in the positions of Senior VP and GM, VP Business Development and Strategic Planning, and VP Global Marketing. From 2005 to 2007, Ms. Doerfert served as VP Marketing for Gyrus ACMI Surgical Division of Gyrus Group PLC. Prior positions include sales and marketing roles of increasing responsibility at Circon Corporation, Inc. from 1991 to 1999 and various sales, marketing and clinical positions at Corometrics Medical, Inc. from 1983 to 1999. Ms. Doerfert has a clinical background with 8 years in clinical practice as a registered nurse. She received a nursing degree from Clemson University, and a BS in Nursing from Georgia State University.
Cary Paulette, Senior Vice President, US Sales
Mr. Paulette joined Ellman International in 2013 and brings over 20 years of field sales and field sales management experience. Prior to Ellman, Mr. Paulette served as Senior Vice President of Sales for Joerns Healthcare and gained experience in the aesthetic market as Vice President of Sales at Diomed from 2004 - 2008. Before joining Diomed, he demonstrated progressive career growth at Guidant and Boston Scientific, rising from Field Sales Representative to Regional and Division Manager. Mr. Paulette is a graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Management.
Gary L. Wilson, Senior Vice President International Sales
Mr. Wilson joined Ellman International in 2011 as Senior Vice President International Sales and brings more than 30 years of medical equipment and device experience in worldwide sales, marketing and product development. Mr. Wilson previously served as Vice President, International Sales for Thermage, Inc. (now Solta Medical), a manufacturer of RF and light-based products for aesthetics from 2003 to 2008. Before that Mr. Wilson was Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for Cardima, Inc., a manufacturer of minimally-invasive microcatheters for RF ablation of cardiac arrhythmias from 2001 to 2003. Prior to Cardima he served at EndoSonics Corporation, a manufacturer of diagnostic and therapeutic devices for coronary artery disease, in the executive positions of Vice President Worldwide Sales and Marketing and Vice President Asia Pacific/Latin America Distributor Operations from 1995 to 2000.
From 1988 to 1995, Mr. Wilson served as Director Asia Pacific Sales, Director Product Management and Product Manager for Advanced Technology Laboratories (ATL) a manufacturer of diagnostic medical ultrasound imaging equipment. He began his medical industry career with General Electric Medical Systems Division in 1980 where he held positions in Engineering and Marketing. Mr. Wilson received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MBA in International Business from National University.
Thomas Oliveri, Vice President of Operations
Mr. Oliveri joined Ellman International in 2011. He has close to 30 years of diverse operational and manufacturing experience. Prior to joining Ellman, Mr. Oliveri served as the Chief Operating Officer from 2008 to 2011 at CSS Energy, a renewable energy company. From 2006 to 2008, Mr. Oliveri led the turnaround of Swiss based company Sulzer Metco. He was President and COO of Global Payment Technologies Inc., a NASDAQ world-wide leader in currency validation between 1999 and 2006. Mr. Oliveri was the General Manager of two divisions of LUMEX Inc. a world leader in specialty medical devices and isokinetic rehabilitation equipment from 1993 to 1998 and prior to LUMEX held several positions including Manager of Industrial Engineering and Plant Manager for Ragen Data Systems, Inc, a military aerospace instrumentation manufacturer. In 1984 Mr. Oliveri received a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University at Oswego and a Master of Science degree from the State University at Stony Brook in 1997.
